Cleaning a mattressWe may love our dogs a lot, but even though it is a little bit frustrating when they urinate on our mattresses. So, here I will present a few tips on cleaning dog urine from a mattress. They will be useful for you and will help you to complete this cleaning procedure in an easier way. The stain that will be left on the mattress is not the only problem. There will be a very unpleasant odour, too. But this is something normal as incidents like that do happen regularly, so you should be prepared how to treat dog urine stains.

Once you have noticed the incident, you have to place an old towel on the stain and let it soak up the urine. When the towel becomes wet use dry part of it until you can not lift more urine from the mattress.

The second task is to saturate the mattress with an enzyme-based cleaner that is made specifically for removing urine. If you don’t have such a solution in your home, you can prepare one with simple household products. According to mattress cleaning experts such as mattress cleaning Melbourne employees you can combine equal parts of white vinegar and cool water in a proper vessel and then apply it to the urine stain. Doog pees on the carpet

Now you will need a clean towel to blot the spot. Once again when the towel is saturated from one side use its dry part until the moisture from the mattress is absorbed.

At this point sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda to the stained area of the mattress. Then make a solution of 1 cup hydrogen peroxide and 1 tsp. dish-washing soap in a bowl. The obtained substance should be applied on top of the baking soda.
Let the solution stay for approximately 15 minutes and blot up excess moisture. Once the vacuum is completely dry use your vacuum cleaner to remove the powder residue from the mattress.
